AD Ports Group Unveils UAE’s First Integrated Shipbuilders Consortium

Fri, May 15, 2026(98d ago)Business

AD Ports Group has officially launched the Consortium of UAE Shipbuilders, a strategic move aimed at uniting the nation’s maritime expertise under one roof. By bringing together a diverse group of key industry players—including Safeen Drydocks, Al Seer Marine, and Dubai Shipbuilding & Engineering—the platform seeks to streamline operations across vessel repair, marine engineering, and fabrication. This collaborative framework is designed to foster greater cooperation, improve procurement efficiencies, and boost the overall competitiveness of the UAE’s maritime sector on the global stage.

Led by Noatum Maritime, the initiative is particularly focused on empowering small and medium-sized shipyards by granting them access to larger, more complex projects that were previously out of reach. Captain Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi, Managing Director and Group CEO of AD Ports Group, highlighted that this development aligns with the nation’s broader economic diversification goals. By creating a more connected and scalable shipbuilding ecosystem, the consortium aims to bolster the UAE’s industrial footprint and solidify its standing as a major hub for international maritime trade and manufacturing.
