UAE Ranked Among Top Destinations for Muslim Travelers

Mon, Jul 6, 2026(3h ago)Business

The United Arab Emirates has officially secured the sixth spot on the Global Muslim Travel Index, an annual report developed by Mastercard and CrescentRating. With an impressive score of 75, the UAE is being celebrated as a premier choice for Muslim tourists, largely thanks to its top-tier infrastructure, including world-class airports, seamless visa processes, and highly efficient public transit. The country earned a perfect score for its widespread availability of prayer facilities and halal-certified dining, firmly cementing its status in the "Trailblazers" quadrant among global leaders in travel inclusivity.

As the Muslim travel market continues to evolve into a major economic powerhouse, the focus is shifting toward digital accessibility. Projections indicate that the number of Muslim travelers will rise to 208 million this year, with annual spending expected to hit $310 billion by 2030. To stay competitive, destinations must now ensure their services are not only physically available but also digitally discoverable. With over 80 percent of travelers now relying on AI to plan trips, destinations that fail to integrate their halal offerings into digital platforms risk being overlooked. The modern traveler now demands a seamless experience where safety, sustainability, and digital convenience are fully aligned.
