Indian Expat Becomes Dubai Homeowner After Winning Citywide Prize

Fri, Jul 10, 2026(2h ago)Business

After calling Dubai home for 12 years, Aditi, a finance professional, never expected a routine grocery run to change her life forever. While shopping at an Al Barsha hypermarket with her family, the Indian expat entered the "Win Your Home in Dubai" initiative. To her complete astonishment, she was recently named the third recipient of a brand-new studio apartment in the city. Aditi shared that her heart was racing during the ceremony, admitting that winning property in the city she has lived in for over a decade feels like a dream come true.

The "Win Your Home in Dubai" campaign is a collaborative effort between the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism and Dubai Chambers, aimed at rewarding shoppers with 12 residential units developed by Binghatti. The initiative remains open until August 30, offering both residents and visitors aged 18 and over a chance to win. To participate, shoppers simply need to spend at least Dh500 at any of the 3,500 participating retail outlets and register their receipts via the campaign’s QR codes. With several studio apartments still up for grabs and a grand prize two-bedroom unit waiting for the final draw, many more participants have the opportunity to follow in Aditi's footsteps.
