Flydubai Boosts Thailand Connectivity with More Daily Flights
In response to a surge in travel demand, flydubai has announced plans to double its daily flight frequency to Bangkok, effective July 18. This expansion comes just weeks after the airline inaugurated daily service to the Thai capital's Don Mueang International Airport (DMK). Alongside the Bangkok expansion, the carrier is also bumping up its Krabi route to daily operations, bringing flydubai’s total presence in Thailand to 21 flights per week. This strategic move aims to offer travelers greater flexibility while reinforcing Dubai’s role as a primary global aviation hub.
The increase in capacity aligns with Thailand’s ambitious tourism goals, as the country seeks to attract over 600,000 visitors from the Gulf region by 2026. Data from the Tourism Authority of Thailand highlights that travelers from the UAE are among the highest spenders and longest-staying visitors, making them a crucial market for the Southeast Asian nation. In addition to bolstering its Thai network, flydubai continues to widen its global footprint with new service launches to Benghazi, and upcoming flights to Aleppo and Pokhara, as it continues to capitalize on the robust recovery of international travel.
