According to real-time monitoring service Downdetector, reports concerning Facebook began to surge around noon on July 19. Individuals attempting to log in were frequently met with server connection errors or were unable to access the site entirely through their web browsers.

In addition to the Facebook issues, Instagram users reported a variety of technical glitches that hampered their experience. Common complaints included difficulty navigating the app, a failure to refresh or view content on personal feeds, and persistent server connectivity problems. While the outage was widespread, Meta has yet to provide a comprehensive explanation for the technical difficulties that left many regional users unable to access their accounts.
