GCC Remittance Networks Expand Across Bahrain and Kuwait

Tue, Jul 21, 2026(45d ago)Business

Financial institutions in the Gulf are rapidly scaling their cross-border payment networks to keep pace with the surging demand for reliable remittance services. Driven by a massive expatriate workforce and increasing trade activity across the region, companies are prioritizing international money transfer capabilities to ensure seamless financial connectivity. As a key player in this movement, Al Ansari Financial Services has officially teamed up with Western Union to bolster its subsidiaries in Bahrain and Kuwait, aiming to provide residents with more robust and efficient options for moving money globally.

Through this strategic collaboration, both the Bahrain Financing Company (BFC) and the Bahrain Exchange Company (BEC) will integrate Western Union’s expansive network, which covers over 200 countries and territories. This move significantly increases consumer access, with the services being rolled out across BFC’s 54 branches in Bahrain and BEC’s 53 locations in Kuwait, including key hubs like the Kuwait International Airport. By marrying the localized expertise of these established brands with Western Union’s vast global infrastructure, the partnership is set to offer customers faster, more convenient, and more flexible ways to manage their international financial obligations.
