Gold Prices in Dubai Rebound to July Levels Amid Market Uncertainty
Gold prices in Dubai saw a positive shift this Wednesday morning, climbing back toward the rates seen in early July despite the ongoing instability caused by global geopolitical tensions. The 24K variant rose to Dh495.75 per gram, marking a notable increase from the previous day’s close. Other gold categories also reflected this upward trend, with 22K, 21K, 18K, and 14K variants trading at Dh459.0, Dh440, Dh377.25, and Dh294.25 per gram, respectively, while silver also enjoyed a steady rise.
Market analysts suggest that this recovery is partly linked to shifting energy prices and ongoing diplomatic fluctuations in the Middle East. While concerns remain regarding potential US interest rate hikes by year-end and a strong dollar, underlying demand for physical gold remains resilient. Increased speculative interest and significant central bank purchases earlier this year are helping to bolster the market, providing a solid floor for prices even as investors weigh the potential for tighter monetary policy in the months ahead.
