Mubadala and Embraer Forge Strategic Alliance to Boost UAE Aerospace Sector
Mubadala Investment Company and Brazilian aerospace giant Embraer have inked a strategic framework agreement at the Farnborough International Airshow, marking a significant step in Abu Dhabi’s quest to solidify its position as a global aerospace hub. This collaboration is set to elevate the UAE’s industrial potential by focusing on supply chain enhancement, advanced maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services, and cutting-edge research. A key highlight of the deal is the integration of Strata Manufacturing as a tier-one supplier for Embraer, alongside plans to establish an innovation hub dedicated to next-generation technologies like composite materials and additive manufacturing.
Beyond technical production, the partnership places a strong emphasis on human capital, with both entities committing to comprehensive training programs designed to upskill Emirati talent through knowledge transfer and international placements. This initiative perfectly complements the UAE’s broader economic diversification goals, including the "Operation 300bn" and the Abu Dhabi Industrial Strategy. Furthermore, Strata Manufacturing has officially signed a Memorandum of Agreement with Embraer to evaluate the supply of composite aerostructures for the E2 aircraft family, signaling a new era of technical cooperation that aims to deepen the long-term industrial ties between the two nations.
