United Arab Bank Records Strong Growth in First Half of 2026
United Arab Bank (UAB) has announced a robust performance for the first half of 2026, recording a net profit of Dh201 million. Despite navigating a challenging global landscape marked by regional geopolitical tensions and market instability, the Sharjah-based lender saw its total operating income climb by 13 percent to Dh421 million. This upward trend was significantly bolstered by a 15 percent rise in net interest income, alongside notable growth in total assets, which reached Dh28 billion by the end of June.
The bankâs strategic focus on expanding its core services has yielded clear results, with loans and Islamic financing rising to Dh15.3 billion and customer deposits growing to Dh18.2 billion. Leadership at UAB highlighted that these figures prove the bankâs resilient business model is successfully translating strategic investments into sustainable momentum. Furthermore, UAB maintains a solid financial foundation, characterized by strong capital adequacy and healthy asset quality, ensuring the institution remains well-positioned to meet regulatory standards while maintaining its investment-grade status with major rating agencies.
