ADCB Reports Record-Breaking Profits Driven by Robust UAE Economic Growth
Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) has reached a significant milestone, reporting record-breaking earnings for the first half of 2026. The lender announced a pre-tax profit of Dh7.607 billion, marking a 28% jump compared to the previous year and extending its impressive streak of profit growth to 20 consecutive quarters. This sustained success is largely attributed to a thriving UAE economy, which has bolstered both lending activity and fee-based income, allowing the bank to maintain strong momentum throughout the second quarter.
Beyond bottom-line growth, the bankâs balance sheet has seen substantial expansion, with total assets rising to Dh833 billion. Driven by a 10% increase in net loans and a steady climb in customer deposits, the bankâs operational health is further reflected in its improved asset quality, as seen in the drop in its non-performing loan ratio to 1.71%. Group CEO Alaâa Eraiqat noted that these figures are a testament to the robust investment climate and consumer confidence currently defining the UAE market, reinforcing ADCB's position as a key beneficiary of the nation's financial vitality.
