Dubai Government Human Resources Announces Second Edition of 2026 Research Awards

Tue, May 12, 2026(56d ago)Business

The Dubai Government Human Resources Department (DGHR) has officially kicked off the second edition of its 2026 Research Awards, themed "From Research… to Decision." This initiative is a core component of Dubai’s broader strategy to transition toward a government model driven by knowledge and long-term foresight. By championing applied research, the DGHR aims to cultivate a workspace that prioritizes continuous learning, policy innovation, and the development of high-level human capital capable of meeting the demands of a rapidly evolving future.

Director General Abdullah Ali bin Zayed Al Falasi emphasized that the awards are essential for bridging the gap between scientific study and practical governance. The program covers a diverse array of critical subjects, ranging from human-centric artificial intelligence and ethics to the future of workforce wellbeing and Sharia-based HR management. Following a successful inaugural run that drew 70 research papers from 27 different entities, this new edition seeks to further solidify the partnership between government bodies and academic institutions—including the Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences and the Rochester Institute of Technology Dubai—to ensure that tomorrow’s policies are built on a solid foundation of expert data and research-backed insights.
