Flyadeal Expands to India with New Riyadh-Hyderabad Route
Saudi Arabia’s budget carrier, flyadeal, is officially entering the Indian market with the launch of daily flights connecting Riyadh and Hyderabad. Starting July 1, 2026, this new service aims to provide a convenient and affordable travel option for the large community of non-resident Indians living across the Gulf region. Acting CEO Sanjiv Kapoor noted that this route is just the beginning of a broader strategy to strengthen the deep-rooted economic and cultural ties between the two nations, with another Indian destination expected to be announced shortly.
This expansion aligns with the airline's ambitious growth plan under Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to double its fleet and network to over 100 aircraft and destinations. While the airline has previously facilitated Hajj and Umrah pilgrimages from India, this marks its first move into regular scheduled international service between the two countries. The flights will be serviced by Airbus A320neo aircraft, featuring 186 economy seats equipped with modern amenities like in-seat charging ports and spacious cabin interiors, further solidifying the Saudia Group’s long-standing presence in the Indian aviation sector.
