Adnic Sees Strong Growth in First-Half Profit to Dh225.1 Million

Wed, Aug 12, 2026(1h ago)Business

Abu Dhabi National Insurance Company (Adnic) has announced a solid financial performance for the first half of the year, reporting a pre-tax profit of Dh225.1 million. This growth was largely driven by a significant rise in gross written premiums, which hit Dh6.14 billion, alongside a robust net investment income of Dh150.4 million. The company's success was bolstered by its involvement in major construction projects and strategic client partnerships, even as it navigated challenges like regional geopolitical tensions and the impact of recent flooding.

The company’s strategic expansion continues to be a cornerstone of its long-term growth plan, most notably with the successful launch of its GIFT City branch in India this past April. This move is designed to diversify its revenue and tap into one of the world’s most dynamic insurance markets. Supported by disciplined underwriting and a new insurance partnership with the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Adnic leadership remains confident that their diverse portfolio and expanding international presence will provide a stable foundation for sustainable performance in the months ahead.
