Dubai Taxi Expands Fleet on Bolt App to Shorten Wait Times

Wed, Aug 19, 2026(1h ago)Business

In a strategic move to enhance urban mobility, the Dubai Taxi Company (DTC) has finalized a partnership with Arabia Taxi to integrate 1,607 additional vehicles into the Bolt ride-hailing platform. This collaboration is designed to significantly bolster the availability of taxis across Dubai, providing commuters with a more reliable and seamless booking experience. By bringing this large fleet under the Bolt umbrella, the companies aim to optimize fleet utilization and drastically cut down on wait times, especially during the city's busiest peak hours.

This initiative is a cornerstone of DTC’s broader strategy to digitize its mobility network and foster stronger ties with private operators. Mansoor Rahma Alfalasi, Group CEO of DTC, noted that the expansion is a direct response to the rising demand for app-based transport, reflecting Dubai’s commitment to a more connected and smarter transit ecosystem. For Arabia Taxi, the move offers drivers access to a much larger customer pool, while simultaneously supporting Bolt’s continued growth and competitive presence within the Dubai transport market.
