Alpha Dhabi Increases Stake in Mubadala Credit Partnership
Abu Dhabi-listed investment giant Alpha Dhabi Holding has announced a significant boost to its collaboration with Mubadala Capital, doubling its capital commitment to the Micad Credit joint venture to $1 billion. As part of this strategic move, Alpha Dhabi will increase its ownership stake in the venture from 20 percent to 40 percent. This expanded agreement allows the partnership to move beyond its traditional focus on direct lending in the US and Europe, paving the way for a broader array of global private credit strategies.
Currently overseeing approximately $1.7 billion in assets spread across 45 portfolio companies, the venture is set to gain momentum under this enhanced mandate. Leadership from both firms emphasized that the decision aligns with a long-term vision to capture high-quality international investment opportunities. For Alpha Dhabi, which recently reported a robust quarterly profit of Dh9.8 billion and manages a diverse global portfolio, this deepening partnership with Mubadala Capital serves as a critical step in strengthening its position within the private credit sector.
