Gold prices see significant jump in Dubai amid geopolitical uncertainty
Gold prices in Dubai have experienced a notable climb, rising by over Dh14 per gram within the last 24 hours. As of Wednesday morning, 24K gold was trading at Dh627.25 per gram, marking a substantial increase compared to the previous day’s opening figures. Other gold variants followed a similar trend, with 22K, 21K, 18K, and 14K gold reaching Dh580.75, Dh557.0, Dh477.25, and Dh372.25 per gram, respectively.
Market experts attribute this volatility to the ongoing geopolitical landscape, particularly the instability in the Middle East. While a softer US dollar and shifting oil prices provided temporary support for the metal, analysts warn that the market remains highly sensitive to regional developments. Factors such as the Russia-Ukraine conflict, central bank demand, and upcoming US economic data are expected to keep gold prices in a state of flux as investors navigate a complex global environment.
