Oman Cables Leverages Data Centre Surge with New Infrastructure Solutions

Tue, Sep 1, 2026(2h ago)Business

As the Middle East undergoes a massive digital transformation driven by artificial intelligence and cloud computing, the demand for sophisticated power infrastructure has reached a critical turning point. Oman Cables Industry (OCI) is responding to this shift by debuting its new "OCI-UltraFlex" low-voltage power cable at the upcoming Middle East Energy 2026 exhibition in Dubai. With regional data centre capacity expected to more than triple by 2030, the company aims to address the specific needs of high-density facilities that require superior flexibility, efficient routing, and long-term reliability in their power systems.

Erkan Aydogdu, CEO of Oman Cables, emphasized that the regional infrastructure landscape is evolving rapidly due to the simultaneous push for electrification, renewable energy integration, and large-scale data expansion. By positioning the OCI-UltraFlex as a specialized solution for these complex environments, the firm is moving beyond traditional offerings to provide engineering-led innovations. As a key part of the Prysmian Group, Oman Cables is tapping into global R&D capabilities to ensure that regional infrastructure remains both future-proof and capable of meeting the rigorous operational standards required by modern, high-tech facilities.
