UAE Offers Free Google Gemini Access to University Students

Fri, Sep 4, 2026(21h ago)Business

The UAE Artificial Intelligence Office has teamed up with Google to provide university students across the nation with a complimentary one-year subscription to the "Google AI Plus" plan. This initiative, part of the broader "AI for All" program, grants students access to advanced tools like the latest Gemini AI model, specialized research aids, and Gemini Notebook. Designed to streamline academic workflows, the package includes features for summarizing complex study materials, organizing information, and even generating multimedia content, all supported by 400 GB of cloud storage.

Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, highlighted that this project is about more than just providing software; it is about fostering a culture of responsible AI usage and innovation. To ensure students get the most out of these tools, the partnership will also include a series of workshops and training sessions focused on academic application. Eligible students aged 18 and older can sign up for this free year of access via the official portal until December 31, 2026, marking another significant step in the UAE’s mission to equip its youth with the digital expertise needed for a future-ready workforce.
