Temasek Expands Reach with New Middle East Hubs

Wed, Sep 30, 2026(2h ago)Business

Singapore’s state-owned investment giant, Temasek, is set to significantly bolster its presence in the Middle East by opening new offices in Abu Dhabi and Riyadh by early 2027. This move is designed to deepen the firm's engagement with the region’s rapidly evolving economies, which are currently undergoing ambitious national transformation projects. Beyond these two new bases, Temasek intends to foster stronger collaborative ties with institutions in Qatar and other regional markets, leveraging its extensive global portfolio to support local growth.

With a massive net portfolio value currently exceeding S$500 billion, Temasek views this expansion as a logical evolution of its long-standing partnerships in the Gulf. By establishing a physical presence, the company aims to provide a strategic anchor for its various portfolio companies, enabling them to co-locate and tap into opportunities across the Middle East, Central Asia, and Africa. Leadership at Temasek emphasized that this regional commitment is driven by the area’s attractive long-term fundamentals and the desire to build enduring, value-driven partnerships on the ground.
