Emirates Suspends Flydubai Codeshare Routes to Tel Aviv
Emirates has officially suspended its codeshare agreement with flydubai for all flights to and from Tel Aviv, effective immediately and until further notice. The airline clarified that passengers currently starting their journey with Tel Aviv as their final destination will not be permitted to board. However, for those already in transit, the carrier has promised to provide full assistance and support to ensure they reach their final destination safely.
This abrupt operational change follows a mid-air emergency on Wednesday involving flydubai flight FZ1073. While en route from Dubai to Tel Aviv, the aircraft was forced to make an emergency landing in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia, due to a physical altercation that broke out in the flight deck. According to the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority, the incident left several crew members injured, requiring them to be transported to a local hospital for medical treatment.
Travelers impacted by these new flight restrictions are encouraged to reach out to their travel agents or contact the Emirates support center for further guidance. The airline is urging all customers to verify their contact information through the "Manage Your Booking" portal on its official website to ensure they receive the latest updates regarding their travel itineraries as the situation develops.
