Flydubai Halts Israel Services Following In-Flight Incident
Flydubai has officially suspended all flight operations to and from Israel in the wake of a mid-air altercation that occurred on flight FZ 1073 on September 30. While traveling from Dubai to Tel Aviv, the aircraft was forced to divert to Tabuk Airport in Saudi Arabia after a disturbance broke out in the flight deck. Fortunately, off-duty crew members on board were able to secure the plane, ensuring a safe landing with no injuries reported among passengers or the flight crew.
The airline confirmed that this operational pause is a precautionary measure coordinated with relevant authorities to facilitate a thorough investigation into the events. While the suspension is currently indefinite, a spokesperson for Flydubai noted that the status of these routes will be reviewed as more information comes to light. In the meantime, the carrier has dispatched replacement aircraft to retrieve passengers from Saudi Arabia and is working to support those whose travel plans have been disrupted, emphasizing that passenger safety remains their primary concern.
