UAE Central Bank Boosts 2027 GDP Forecast to 10.4%
The Central Bank of the UAE has officially upgraded its economic outlook for 2027, projecting a robust GDP growth rate of 10.4%. This figure marks a significant upward adjustment from the 9.8% forecast issued earlier in June. The optimism is largely fueled by the country's strategic push to ramp up oil production to five million barrels per day, combined with steady momentum across its non-oil sectors. Financial experts believe this performance reflects a broader period of sustained economic health, following solid results throughout 2024 and 2025.
Beyond the energy sector, the UAE continues to show resilience through its diversified economy and strong fiscal buffers, which include low public debt and substantial sovereign assets. Government initiatives, such as the Financial Resilience Package and various infrastructure investments, are playing a pivotal role in maintaining a business-friendly climate. Economy Minister Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri recently echoed this positive sentiment, suggesting that the nation is poised for a powerful rebound, characterizing the upcoming period as a time of significant growth rather than simple recovery. With non-oil GDP also expected to see a sharp rise of 4.9% by 2027, the UAE remains on a clear path toward long-term prosperity.
