du Pay Shifts Strategy to Lifestyle-Focused Subscription Model
Du Pay, the digital payments division of the telecom provider du, is set to undergo a significant strategic transformation. According to CEO Roberto Mancone, the company is pivoting away from its traditional reliance on a pure remittance-based model. Instead, it aims to evolve into a comprehensive fintech platform that prioritizes lifestyle engagement, offering users a more integrated digital experience beyond simple international money transfers.
As part of this transition, the company plans to introduce an affordable subscription model designed to provide value to users regardless of whether they are actively sending money. Mancone explained that this new framework will include various incentives, such as cashback rewards on card purchases, discounts on telecommunications products, and complimentary remittance services. By bundling these perks, du Pay hopes to build stronger customer loyalty and remain competitive in an increasingly crowded digital payment landscape.
