Gold Prices in Dubai Stabilize Before Diwali
Gold prices in Dubai saw a slight recovery on Thursday morning, rebounding after a notable one-percent dip late Wednesday. Despite this upward momentum, the 24K gold rate stayed just under the Dh500 threshold, opening at Dh499.75 per gram. According to figures from the Dubai Jewellery Group, other variants also adjusted to the market shift, with 22K, 21K, and 18K gold priced at Dh462.75, Dh443.50, and Dh380.25 per gram, respectively.
This fluctuation is particularly significant for the UAEâs Indian community, who view gold as an essential purchase during the upcoming Diwali and Dhanteras festivities. As families look to buy bars, coins, and ornaments for good luck, the recent price dip offers a timely boost to household budgets. While the metal faces pressure from global factors like US inflation data and Federal Reserve interest rate speculation, market experts note that gold remains caught in a complex tug-of-war between the strength of the dollar and its traditional role as a safe-haven asset.
