Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy Boosts Startup Growth in First Half of 2026

Thu, Oct 15, 2026(4h ago)Business

The Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy has marked a significant milestone, supporting 485 digital startups during the first half of 2026—a 57.5% increase compared to the previous year. According to Vice President Saeed Al Gergawi, international ventures now represent 51% of this portfolio, with artificial intelligence firms leading the pack at 23%. By providing comprehensive resources, including networking opportunities with strategic investors, distribution partners, and government-backed platforms like "Business in Dubai," the Chamber ensures that startups have more than just technology; they have the infrastructure necessary for long-term success.

During the Dubai Business Forum in Shenzhen, Al Gergawi emphasized the city’s strategic focus on attracting Chinese tech companies. By offering a gateway to regional and global markets, Dubai is inviting businesses specialized in robotics, cloud services, and fintech to utilize the emirate as their primary hub. This initiative is further bolstered by partnerships with companies like Canva and programs such as the ‘Create AI Agents Championship,’ which provide entrepreneurs with the cutting-edge tools and collaborative environments needed to scale their innovations internationally.
