Jeddah Airport Shifts Operations to Terminal 4 and Hajj Terminals
Starting October 17, King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah has officially transitioned all flight operations previously housed in the North Terminal to Terminal 4 (T4) and the dedicated Hajj and Umrah terminals. This shift is a key component of the Jeddah Airports Company’s broader strategy to boost operational efficiency and manage the rising volume of travelers. Passengers are strongly advised to verify their specific departure terminal via the official airport website or by contacting their airline directly before arriving at the airport to avoid any travel disruptions.
This transition builds upon a phased move that began in late September, which already saw various international carriers, including Wizz Air, Pegasus, and Azerbaijan Airlines, relocate to T4. The new terminal spans 97,000 square meters and is designed to handle up to 15 million passengers annually, featuring state-of-the-art facilities specifically tailored for pilgrim group check-ins. These infrastructure upgrades are essential as the airport works toward the ambitious Vision 2030 goal of supporting over 90 million passengers annually, following a record-breaking year that saw 53.4 million travelers pass through its gates.
