Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Hits Record Dh246 Billion Trade in H1 2026
The Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority (DIEZ) has officially smashed its previous records, reporting a massive Dh246 billion in trade for the first half of 2026. This impressive 17% year-on-year jump marks the sixth straight year of growth for the organization. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum attributed this success to Dubai’s highly resilient logistics framework, noting that the city's ability to maintain steady trade flows despite global market volatility proves its status as a vital international hub.
The report highlights that DIEZ now accounts for 16% of Dubai’s total non-oil trade, driven largely by a surge in re-exports and imports. Notably, heavy machinery, electronics, and precious metals dominated the activity, together making up 96% of the total trade volume. With China maintaining its position as the leading trade partner—contributing nearly 30% of the total value—the authority remains confident in its strategy of blending advanced infrastructure with agile logistics to keep businesses connected to global markets despite ongoing supply chain shifts.
