UAE Remains a Global Magnet for Fractional Executives

Wed, Oct 21, 2026(1h ago)Business

The United Arab Emirates has firmly established itself as the top destination for senior leadership talent seeking flexible work opportunities. According to recent data from the executive collective Fractional, nearly three out of every four C-suite professionals applying for international roles have specifically targeted Dubai or Abu Dhabi. This preference is stark, with applicants being nearly three times more likely to choose these UAE cities over the other 62 global hubs within the network. Furthermore, the local talent pool shows immense loyalty, as not a single executive already based in the UAE has sought to relocate elsewhere.

This influx of high-level talent—ranging from COOs and CFOs to CEOs and CTOs—is largely driven by the UAE's unique economic landscape, which relies heavily on a thriving SME sector. With over half of these applicants boasting at least 15 years of leadership experience, they provide local businesses with the specialized expertise needed to scale without the overhead of full-time hires. Whether through relocation or regular business travel, these seasoned professionals are clearly drawn to the region's rapid growth, ambitious environment, and the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse, international cohort of peers.
