Rakbank Hits Dh2.5 Billion Profit Milestone Amid Strong Growth
Rakbank has announced a robust performance for the first nine months of 2026, recording a 21.3% jump in net profit to Dh2.5 billion. This impressive growth was fueled by a combination of surging lending activity across its personal, wholesale, and business sectors, alongside a strategic one-off gain of Dh473 million from the sale of its merchant acquiring unit. The bank’s balance sheet also saw significant expansion, with total assets and deposits both climbing by 21% year-on-year, reflecting the broader vitality of the UAE’s financial landscape and a successful strategy to attract new SME clients.
Beyond the headline profit figures, the lender demonstrated excellent financial health through improved asset quality and strong liquidity ratios. With impaired loans dropping to 1.7% and a solid capital adequacy ratio of 18.4%, the bank remains well-positioned to maintain its momentum. Looking ahead, Rakbank is doubling down on its digital transformation, focusing on a refreshed brand identity and a revamped mobile application designed to blend intuitive technology with personalized service, ensuring the bank continues to deliver high returns on equity and assets for its stakeholders.
