ADCB Extends Winning Streak with 21 Quarters of Profit Growth
Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) has officially marked its 21st consecutive quarter of profit growth, fueled by a robust surge in lending and increased fee-based income. For the third quarter of 2026, the bank reported a significant 28% year-on-year jump in profit before tax, reaching Dh4.063 billion, while nine-month profits climbed to Dh11.67 billion. This financial momentum is largely attributed to the UAE’s flourishing economy, which has spurred higher demand for financing across corporate, retail, and private banking sectors. Notably, net loans grew by Dh66 billion year-to-date, alongside a healthy Dh58 billion increase in customer deposits.
Beyond core lending, the bank’s operational efficiency and diversified revenue streams have played a pivotal role in its recent success. Operating income rose by 10% to Dh18.3 billion, bolstered by a 21% increase in non-interest income. Furthermore, the bank’s balance sheet remains strong, with a record low non-performing loan ratio of 1.6% and a decrease in the cost of risk. Group CEO Ala’a Eraiqat noted that the bank’s accelerated growth trajectory remains firmly on track, while CFO Deepak Khullar confirmed that the bank has lowered its cost-of-risk guidance for the year. With total assets now hitting Dh890 billion and continued investment in AI-driven banking services, ADCB is well-positioned for sustained performance in the coming months.
