The UAE’s capital markets experienced a transformative year in 2025, marked by significant regulatory advancements and a surge in both domestic and international investor confidence. According to the Capital Market Authority, equity markets were particularly vibrant, with Dh14.53 billion raised through a mix of IPOs and direct listings across Abu Dhabi and Dubai. This momentum was complemented by a robust performance in the debt sector, where listed bonds and sukuk soared to Dh27.6 billion. Notably, sustainable finance emerged as a major trend, with green bond listings jumping by over 50 percent, reflecting a successful push toward eco-conscious financial instruments.
Beyond issuance, the UAE effectively deepened market participation and strengthened its international standing. The local investment fund landscape saw impressive growth, with the number of licensed funds more than doubling, while net foreign investment inflows reached a substantial Dh18.7 billion. The regulator also prioritized market integrity, achieving a 98 percent compliance rate in corporate governance and proactively resolving thousands of investor claims.
