Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank Announces Dh1.75 Billion Rights Issue to Fuel Growth
The board of directors at Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) has officially greenlit a capital-raising plan aimed at securing Dh1.75 billion through a rights issue. This move involves the issuance of over 106 million new ordinary shares at a price of Dh16.45 each, offering a significant discount to the bankâs recent market performance. Existing shareholders will have the opportunity to participate in this expansion, with the right to subscribe to new shares proportional to their current holdings, pending final regulatory and shareholder approval.
This strategic capital injection is designed to support the bankâs ambitious "Vision 2035" roadmap, building on a period of remarkable financial health. ADIB recently hit a historic milestone, with total assets exceeding Dh300 billion, bolstered by a strong return on equity that has remained among the industry's best. With major shareholders already committing to participate in the rights issue, the bankâs leadership remains confident that this capital will enable them to sustain their momentum, enhance long-term value for investors, and execute the next phase of their growth strategy with discipline and efficiency.
