Gold Prices Hold Steady in Dubai Amid Global Market Shifts
Gold prices in Dubai remained relatively consistent this Tuesday morning, following a period of volatility triggered by recent remarks from the US Federal Reserve. As markets opened, 24K gold was priced at Dh533.50 per gram, reflecting a minor uptick of Dh0.75 from the previous close. Meanwhile, other popular segments such as 22K, 21K, 18K, and 14K variants were trading at Dh494, Dh473.75, Dh406, and Dh316.75 per gram, respectively.
On the global stage, spot gold saw a slight dip to $4,426.1 per ounce. Experts suggest this trend is largely sentiment-driven, influenced by comments from the Fed regarding potential interest rate adjustments to combat inflation. While some analysts believe the Fed may hike rates before the year concludes, others, like those at Julius Baer, anticipate that inflationary pressures will likely subside, preventing any immediate interest rate hikes. Moving forward, investors are keeping a close watch on the US dollar and bond yields to gauge the long-term outlook for precious metals.
