Gold Prices Rebound in Dubai as Global Markets Stabilize

Tue, Sep 8, 2026(1h ago)Finance

Gold prices in Dubai saw a noticeable uptick on Tuesday morning, rebounding as the US dollar softened and investors sought clearer market direction. Data from the Dubai Jewellery Group shows that 24K gold climbed to Dh534.75 per gram, up from Monday’s closing of Dh530.75. Other purities followed this upward trend, with 22K gold reaching Dh495.0 per gram, alongside gains for 21K, 18K, and 14K variants. Meanwhile, spot gold rose by half a percent to $4,432 per ounce, and silver also saw a positive shift, climbing nearly one percent to $66.93 per ounce.

Market analysts suggest that while gold remains in a tug-of-war between buyers and sellers, the current sentiment leans slightly toward further gains. Chris Weston of Pepperstone pointed to strong central bank activity, particularly the People's Bank of China’s recent accumulation of 630,000 ounces of gold, as a key driver for potential momentum. With investors hesitant to bet against the dollar ahead of critical upcoming US inflation data, the precious metal is expected to test recent highs, provided no major economic surprises shift the Federal Reserve's current trajectory.
