Dubai Gold Prices Hold Steady as Investors Await Key US Economic Data
Gold prices in Dubai remained stable this Wednesday morning, following a slight dip observed during the previous evening. According to the latest figures from the Dubai Jewellery Group, 24K gold started the day at Dh502.0 per gram. Meanwhile, the 22K, 21K, and 18K variants were priced at Dh465.0, Dh445.75, and Dh382.0 per gram, respectively. On the global stage, spot gold saw a modest rise of 0.28 percent, reaching $4,165 per ounce, as traders adopted a cautious stance ahead of critical US inflation reports.
Market analysts suggest that the precious metal is currently locked in a consolidation phase, balancing between fluctuating Treasury yields and energy prices. While gold is testing the lower end of its historical support levels, it has managed to maintain a bullish structure for the time being. Industry experts indicate that if upcoming economic indicators—such as the consumer price index and retail sales—show signs of cooling, it could temper expectations for aggressive Federal Reserve rate hikes. Such a shift would likely serve as a positive catalyst, potentially helping gold regain upward momentum in the near term.
