Du sees 10.8% profit growth in first nine months of 2026
Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (du) has delivered a strong performance for the first nine months of 2026, posting a 10.8% increase in net profit to Dh2.4 billion. This growth was fueled by a 6.2% rise in overall revenue, which reached Dh12.3 billion, alongside a solid uptick in service-related income. The company’s focus on cost efficiency and disciplined operations helped it navigate a challenging macroeconomic climate, leading to an improved EBITDA margin of 48.7%. Significant regulatory milestones, including a 20-year license renewal and inclusion in major global indices like the MSCI and FTSE, have further bolstered the firm’s long-term outlook.
The third quarter alone saw steady momentum, with net profit climbing 7.3% to Dh786 million. Success was widespread across the board, as mobile revenue grew due to a larger subscriber base and the impact of the iPhone 18 launch, while fixed-line services benefited from robust enterprise and home wireless demand. Although capital expenditure increased to support infrastructure upgrades and data center expansion, CEO Fahad Al Hassawi emphasized that these investments are essential to positioning du as a leader in the UAE’s digital economy. With a resilient balance sheet and clear regulatory visibility, the company remains optimistic about maintaining its growth trajectory amidst regional economic shifts.
