Samsung’s New AI Smart Glasses: Style Meets High-Tech Utility

Thu, Jul 23, 2026(46d ago)Technology

During its recent Galaxy Unpacked event in London, Samsung officially unveiled its latest innovation: a pair of AI-powered smart glasses that prioritize everyday wearability without compromising on advanced features. Developed in collaboration with industry giants like Google, Gentle Monster, and Warby Parker, these glasses are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1 chip. By integrating Google’s Gemini assistant, the eyewear functions as a personal companion capable of translating languages, summarizing messages, providing real-time navigation, and answering questions about the wearer's surroundings.

Beyond information retrieval, the glasses feature a built-in camera that lets users capture photos and videos from their own perspective, with the ability to sync key notes directly to their devices. Designed to work with both Android and iOS, the frames offer up to nine hours of battery life, with a portable charging case that extends that time significantly. While Samsung has yet to confirm pricing or official release dates, the initial launch will focus on audio-based features, ensuring a sleek, lightweight design that avoids the bulk of traditional display-heavy AR headsets.
