Apple Stores to Offer Limited Supply of Folding iPhone Duo Starting Friday
Apple has confirmed that a restricted number of its highly anticipated iPhone Duo units will be available for walk-in customers when the device officially hits shelves this Friday. This announcement comes after the initial online pre-orders were snapped up almost instantly, causing delivery estimates for some buyers to slip well into January. The company expressed its commitment to getting the new folding device into the hands of users as quickly as possible, acknowledging that the manufacturing complexity of the device’s hinge may be a factor in the current supply constraints.
The availability of these units will depend heavily on the region. Shoppers in the United States, Australia, Canada, Mexico, and much of the UK and Europe can expect either online order pickups or limited walk-in opportunities. Conversely, Apple noted that in several major markets—including India, China, Japan, and the UAE—the device will be reserved exclusively for those who have already completed their purchases online. Meanwhile, Macau remains an outlier where the limited inventory will be sold strictly on a walk-in basis.
