UAE Residents Gain Stability with New Five-Year Health Insurance Premium Lock

Tue, Jun 2, 2026(45d ago)UAE

Residents in the UAE now have a new way to shield themselves from the rising costs of healthcare thanks to a feature recently introduced by Policybazaar.ae. The "Health Insurance Premium Lock" add-on allows policyholders to keep their insurance rates consistent for up to five years. By opting for this feature, customers can avoid the common, unpredictable spikes caused by medical inflation—which can drive costs up by 10% annually—as well as the significant jumps that occur when moving into a higher age bracket.

This initiative comes as a response to widespread frustration among policyholders, many of whom have seen their premiums climb despite maintaining a clean health record and filing zero claims. According to Policybazaar.ae, the goal is to remove the "renewal anxiety" that often damages the relationship between insurers and their clients. The add-on is currently available to adults up to age 60 who do not have pre-existing conditions, providing them with the financial predictability they need for long-term health planning.
