Dubai Resident Strikes Gold with $1 Million Millennium Millionaire Win

Wed, Jun 3, 2026(45d ago)UAE

A 42-year-old Indian compliance officer, Gaurav Madaan, is the latest big winner of the Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire draw. Having lived in Dubai since 2023, Madaan has been a faithful participant in the popular promotion for the past five years. His persistence finally paid off this Wednesday when his online entry, purchased on May 20, secured the $1 million prize. Madaan, who works for a French firm and is originally from Sonipat, plans to use his winnings to invest in local property, marking him as the 277th Indian national to claim the top prize since the draw’s inception in 1999.

The excitement continued with the Finest Surprise draw, which saw several luxury vehicles awarded to lucky participants. A 60-year-old Emirati retiree was thrilled to win a Mercedes-Benz GLS 580, while a 44-year-old Indian resident celebrated a stroke of luck by winning a Land Rover Defender—an impressive repeat win for him, having also secured a Range Rover earlier this year. Rounding out the event, a 63-year-old British man claimed an Aprilia motorbike, marking his second win this year as well. These winners highlight the enduring appeal of the Dubai Duty Free draws, which continue to change lives for residents and international participants alike.
