UAE Announces Official Hijri New Year Holiday for June 15
The UAE government has officially confirmed that Monday, June 15, 2026, will be a paid public holiday in observance of the Hijri New Year 1448. This directive applies to employees across both the federal government sector and all private businesses operating within the country.
This announcement was jointly issued by the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources and the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation.
