UAE Hits Industrial Job Milestone for Emiratis Ahead of Schedule
The United Arab Emirates has successfully reached a significant employment milestone, surpassing its goal of creating 5,000 industrial sector jobs for Emirati citizens a full year earlier than planned. Originally established under the National In-Country Value programme with a 2027 deadline, the initiative has already generated over 5,200 opportunities. This achievement was highlighted at the Industrialists Career Exhibition in Abu Dhabi, where dozens of companies gathered to offer an additional 1,000 vacancies, signaling robust growth within the nation’s industrial workforce.
Officials noted that the surge in hiring is largely driven by a shift toward high-tech fields, including artificial intelligence, industrial engineering, and advanced manufacturing. As interest among students and graduates in these specialized sectors continues to climb, the perception of industrial work is evolving. Rather than being confined to traditional factory floors, modern careers in this sector are increasingly centered in research laboratories, digital operations hubs, and high-tech facilities, offering diverse paths in areas ranging from logistics and finance to cybersecurity and advanced operations.
