Tragic Minibus Accident on Emirates Road Leaves Seven Dead

Wed, Jun 10, 2026(45d ago)UAE

A devastating minibus crash on Dubai’s Emirates Road this past Sunday has resulted in seven fatalities and left several others fighting for their lives. According to officials, the incident occurred when the minibus, carrying 16 employees from a local technical services firm, slammed into a stationary truck that had pulled over due to mechanical trouble. Authorities believe the driver’s failure to maintain a safe distance and stay alert was the primary cause of the collision, which occurred while the workers were heading back to their residence after a shift.

While nine individuals were initially injured, a social worker overseeing the situation noted that only three remain in critical condition—two Indian nationals and one man from Nepal. The impact was so severe that identifying the victims has become a difficult task, with company representatives working closely with authorities to confirm the identities of those who perished. The victims include six Indian nationals and one Sri Lankan. In response to the tragedy, representatives from the Indian Consulate have visited the survivors in the hospital, pledging their full support and coordination with local officials to assist the grieving families through this heartbreaking ordeal.
