Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Reviews Operations at Jebel Ali Port

Thu, May 14, 2026(99d ago)UAE

Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum recently conducted an inspection of the Jebel Ali Port to evaluate its current operational performance and logistics capabilities. During the visit, he was briefed on the facility’s impressive growth, particularly noting the movement of nearly 200,000 TEUs through regional truck and rail corridors over the past two months. Sheikh Hamdan lauded the dedication of the workforce, emphasizing that their commitment to excellence is what keeps this critical maritime gateway functioning as a vital link in the global supply chain.

Highlighting the port’s strategic importance, the Crown Prince toured key facilities, including the Jebel Ali Rail Terminal, the innovative BOXBAY high-bay storage system, and the Terminal 2 operations center. He reaffirmed that Dubai remains dedicated to investing in resilient infrastructure to bolster its position as a global trade hub, noting that the integration of rail, sea, and road networks is essential for future economic success. With the Jebel Ali Rail Terminal now facilitating up to eight daily services and plans to double its annual capacity, the port continues to serve as an essential anchor for over 12,000 companies operating across the Middle East and beyond.
