Dubai’s Commitment to Families: Over 167,000 Golden Visas Granted

Fri, May 15, 2026(53d ago)UAE

In celebration of the International Day of Families, the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai revealed that more than 167,000 Golden Visas have been awarded to families of skilled professionals. This initiative highlights the city's ongoing mission to create a welcoming, stable environment for global talent. By offering long-term residency to investors, entrepreneurs, scientists, and high-achieving students, Dubai is successfully positioning itself as a premier destination for those looking to build a secure future without the need for traditional sponsorship.

The surge in residency permits, spanning from 2021 through early 2024, reflects the government’s dedication to the "Family is the Foundation of the Nation" initiative. Under the guidance of Dubai Social Agenda 33, the GDRFA has streamlined its digital services to ensure that first-degree family members of visa holders can easily integrate into the community. Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri emphasized that these efforts are designed to foster a sense of belonging, ensuring that the emirate remains a world-class hub where both professional ambition and family life can thrive side-by-side.
