Developed by the Department of Municipalities and Transport in collaboration with the Smart and Autonomous Systems Council (SASC), the initiative seeks to foster maritime innovation while prioritizing safety. The new manual, titled "Requirements and Controls for Testing Autonomous Marine Crafts," establishes a mandatory permitting system to monitor all ongoing testing activities.
