Dubai Launches Dh200,000 AI-Powered Challenge to Reimagine Al Safa 2 Park
Dubai is inviting the global creative and tech community to help shape the future of urban living through its newly launched AI-designed park challenge. Following a directive from Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the city is seeking innovative designs to transform Al Safa 2 Park. The competition is open to architects, urban planners, students, startups, and AI specialists who can leverage advanced technology to improve public space functionality, sustainability, and user experience. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to integrate artificial intelligence into Dubaiâs infrastructure, ensuring that future city developments are as efficient as they are human-centric.
Participants have until August 15 to submit their concepts via the Dubai Municipality portal, with a total prize pool of Dh200,000 up for grabs. The top three entries will receive prizes of Dh100,000, Dh65,000, and Dh35,000, respectively. The selection process will be a blend of expert evaluation and public participation, as a high-profile juryâincluding industry leaders and urban design expertsâwill shortlist entries, while local residents will have a direct say in choosing the final winners. Beyond the rewards, the competition offers a unique opportunity for innovators to see their AI-integrated designs become a tangible part of Dubaiâs urban landscape.
