Indian Embassy in UAE Extends Emergency Services Ahead of Provider Switch
The Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General in Dubai have officially announced that they will continue to restrict their operations to emergency-only services until July 1. This extension follows a previous advisory regarding an administrative transition, meaning that routine requests for passports, visas, and document attestations remain temporarily unavailable. Authorities have noted that updates regarding the restoration of full services starting July 2 will be shared through the mission's official digital channels in the coming days.
This pause in standard operations is part of a strategic shift to a new outsourced service provider, Alhind Tours and Travels LLC, which will take over as the sole handler for all consular applications across the UAE. During this transition period, previous providers—BLS International and SGIVS Global—have already ceased accepting new applications to facilitate the handover. Officials are urging the public to disregard third-party rumors and instead monitor the official embassy and consulate websites for accurate guidance during this changeover.
