On May 17, the United Arab Emirates Ministry of Defence reported a security incident involving three hostile drones that breached the nation’s western border. Emirati air defense systems were quick to respond, successfully intercepting two of the aerial vehicles. However, a third drone managed to impact an electrical generator located just outside the perimeter of the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant in the Al Dhafra region.

Authorities have launched a comprehensive investigation to identify the origin and intent behind these unauthorized incursions.
