Sharjah Offers Major Fee Relief for Businesses

Fri, Jul 3, 2026(45d ago)UAE

Sharjah Civil Defence has launched a new initiative aimed at bolstering the local economy by significantly easing the financial burden on businesses and individuals. As part of this relief package, the authority is offering a 50 percent discount on all civil defence violation fines, as well as a 50 percent reduction in firefighting service costs. These concessions apply to penalties issued between 2019 and 2026, with the three-month discount window officially opening on June 16, 2026. Those seeking further details are encouraged to reach out through official channels or by calling 06 516 3333.

This move follows a broader trend of economic support in the emirate, closely mirroring recent incentive packages announced by Sharjah Police. Following directives from the Sharjah Executive Council, local authorities are rolling out various fee cuts, including a 50 percent reduction in security permit renewals and subscription fees for commercial entities. Furthermore, businesses can take advantage of a 20 percent discount on mandatory training programs, all of which are designed to create a more favorable environment for economic growth and compliance across Sharjah.
